600
square metres of History.
The Wine Museum is considered one of the best of its kind in Italy and
Europe. The Museum is located inside the winery and covers a surface of
over 600 square metres.
The collection consists of three parts:
The Drinking Glass Collection
More then 100 ancient wine glasses, mostly Biedermeier pieces from Bohemia and Mitteleuropa and precious Venetian Murano glasses.
The collection includes chalices used for the Mess, wine jugs of the XVII and XVIII centuries and ancient prints.
Wine and Glass
A large hall is dedicated to the history of wine and of glass.
Special attention is dedicated to wine bottles, of every shape and age, mouth blown glasses of different ages, as well as Roman amphorae and many other interesting objects.
Craftsmen and Handicrafts
A very large area is dedicated to house this collection. Craftsmen' workshops, including the original tooling, furniture and handicrafts' samples, have been recreated: the wine labels' printworks, the cooper's workshop, the cork workshop, the vineyard tools' and the glass' workshops, the old cellar, the tavern, the distillery, and more.

In the virtual tour section you will find some pictures of the collections. |
